In the workshop Diego Espinosa (Mexico) linked theory to practice and the participants were able to discover step by step that what was still called noise at the end of the 19th century evolved into a new medium and a current artistic category; sound art.
At the end of the work period, the students performed their own compositions along with Diego Espinosa's work on various stages in the grounds of Ateliers' 89. The performance was recorded for a radio broadcast.
