Graphic design in the Netherlands has been a world leader for decades. The course therefore started with a brief outline of the history of Dutch graphic design, from the 1950s to the present day. Based on this, the basic principles of graphic design were discussed, such as image (what image tells and how do you deal with image and text), typography, layout (grid, grid, margins) and folding methods.
By means of short and long-term assignments, the participants went in search of a personal way of designing, both in form and content. Each participant made their own publication/booklet, which was shown in a final exhibition 4 Weeks of Work.
