22 April 2014 - 12 June 2014

Concept development and the acquisition of technical skills went hand in hand in the workshops.
From April 22 to June 12, students from Ateliers '89 worked on the writing and production of a short film. Screenwriting was supervised by award-winning screenwriter Jolein Laarman.
Together with filmmaker and artist Dick Tuinder, they started the process towards realization. Casting. Location. Shotlists. Schedule. Where should everyone be and, above all, do they arrive on time? A period that in itself was worth a film adaptation began. Euphoria and deception played leapfrog as the deadline for the shoot approached and actors canceled, locations turned out to be unavailable, plans had to be rewritten, which often resulted in an improvement.
In the last week, for those who could not do this themselves, work was done on the editing of the films under the supervision of Ryan Oduber. On June 12, the films were presented during a gala evening in Ateliers '89.
