Workshop on plastic waste - Repairing memories
by artist and designer Margherita Soldati
April 25- till May 20
In this workshop we will repair, recycle and give a new life to existing and broken plastic objects by sharing our story with the people of the future!
Single-use plastic is a problem for our ecosystem and for human health. At the same time, we are still surrounded by plastic objects, waste and broken pieces in our everyday life.
How can art help us change the way we deal with them?
Can we add value to this waste to keep it from becoming waste in the first place?During this workshop, you will learn several repairing and mending techniques, which are usually applied to textiles.
The repairing tools and techniques will help you create colourful bridges between objects, create new structures and tactile patterns, shape new forms and figures… bring the pieces together to give life to your personal narration!
