Workshop Photography by Jessy Koeiman

In this photography workshop by Jessy Koeiman, we mainly zoom in on the role of photography within the use of Social Media.

Today we can no longer imagine life without Social Media. But what do we actually think of the photos we see on Instagram? Are they all edited in such a way that they get as many likes as possible or are the photos really 'good'? Or is it because of the hashtags?

Under the supervision of Jessy, we will work on our own newly created Instagram content, where we first analyze which pages are doing 'right' and why. We then create images in various themes, in which we record ourselves, the nature in which we find ourselves and our own cultural heritage. We will also experiment with different photo editing techniques and programs such as Adobe Photoshop.

We are working towards a collectively formed database that we can share online and that in the future can be used as an archive for our own learning experiences.
