WORKSHOP BEELDEN IN BEWEGING

Je wordt van harte uitgenodigd voor de workshop “Beelden in Beweging” met de Nederlandse kunstenaar Igor Bobeldijk.
In deze workshop gaan we sculpturen maken die we met behulp van kleine elektromotoren en verlichting tot leven brengen. Geen zorg, je hoeft helemaal geen verstand te hebben van elektronica.
Als basisbouwstenen voor onze sculpturen gebruiken we vooral gerecyclede materialen zoals plastic en karton. We kunnen daarbij onze fantasie de vrije loop laten want we gaan de beelden in beweging brengen met behulp van elektronica. Deze zal Igor voor ons meenemen naar de workshop.
Samen met Igor gaan wij bijvoorbeeld kinetische sculpturen, draagbare apparaten en maquettes maken en doen wij allerlei experimenten. In de workshop laat Igor ons ook kennismaken met de basisbeginselen van elektronica en programmeren. Ervaring hierin is echt niet nodig. Wel verbeeldingskracht om je ideeën om te zetten in beelden.
Aan het einde van de workshop hebben we een verzameling van futuristische bewegende beelden gemaakt waarin eenvoudig materiaal hand in hand gaat met moderne technologie.
KORTE BIO
Igor Bobeldijk (1992) behaalde een Bachelor Artificial Intelligence aan de Rijksuniversiteit van Groningen en deed daarna een opleiding tot beeldend kunstenaar aan het Frank Mohr Instituut in dezelfde stad.
In zijn werk gebruikt Igor de nieuwe media van computerprogrammering en elektronica om apparaten te creëren die het gebruik van onze hedendaagse technologie kritisch bekijken. Hij onderzoekt de ogenschijnlijke grens tussen het fysieke en het digitale. Door actief nieuwe raakvlakken tussen de twee te bedenken probeert hij bij te dragen aan een alternatieve tech-esthetiek
WORKSHOP SCULPTURES IN MOTION
Ateliers'89 cordially invites you to the workshop “Sculptures in Motion” with the Dutch artist Igor Bobeldijk.

In this workshop you will make sculptures that you bring to life with the help of small electric motors and lighting. No worries you need not know anything of electronics!
We mainly use recycled materials such as plastic and cardboard as basic building blocks for our sculptures. You can give free rein to your imagination because the images will be set in motion using electronics. Igor will take this to the workshop for the participants.
Together with Igor we will for example make kinetic sculptures, wearable devices and models and do all kinds of experiments. In the workshop Igor also introduces you to the basic principles of electronics and programming. As said, experience is not necessary! Your imagination is required to convert your ideas into sculptures.
At the end of the workshop we have created a collection of futuristic moving images in which simple materials go hand in hand with modern technology.
SHORT BIO
Igor Bobeldijk (1992) obtained a Bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Groningen and subsequently trained as a visual artist at the Frank Mohr Institute in the same city.
In his work, Igor uses the new media of computer programming and electronics to create devices that critically examine the use of our contemporary technology. He examines the apparent boundary between the physical and the digital. By actively inventing new interfaces between the two, he tries to contribute to an alternative tech aesthetic.
